Citrix XenServer* 5.5 - Intel® Server System SR1670HV
Citrix XenServer* is a server virtualization platform that offers near bare-metal virtualization performance for server and client operating systems. XenServer uses the Xen* hypervisor to virtualize each server it is installed on, enabling each to host multiple Virtual Machines simultaneously.
The Intel® Server System SR1670HV is an optimized half-width server system engineered to maximize compute density for High Performance Computing (HPC) workloads. The purpose-built Intel® Server System SR1670HV delivers all of the benefits of two dual-socket server systems in a single standard rackmount (1U), providing support for up to four Intel® Xeon® processor 5500 or 5600 series, 24 DDR3 memory DIMMs, and two PCI Express* 2.0 riser cards in half the space of a standard SSI system.
