Oracle VM Server* 2.2.1 - Intel® Server Board S3420GP
The Oracle VM Server* SDK Template provides an environment for third party drivers to be built for the Oracle VM server 2.2.1 or 2.1.5. Oracle VM offers scalable, low-cost server virtualization. Both Linux* and Windows* guests are supported. Consisting of Xen* open source server software and an integrated Web browser-based management console, Oracle VM provides an easy-to-use graphical interface for creating and managing virtual server pools, running on x86 and x86-64-based systems, across an enterprise. Users can create and manage Virtual Machines (VMs) that exist on the same physical server but behave like independent physical servers. Each virtual machine created with Oracle VM has its own virtual CPUs, network interfaces, storage and operating system. With Oracle VM, users have an easy-to-use browser-based tool for creating, cloning, sharing, configuring, booting and migrating VMs.
The Intel® Server Board S3420GP is an entry server board with essential server-class features. Growing businesses need a reliable server solution for web servers, file and print servers, e-mail servers, storage servers and vertical-specific business applications. A general-purpose entry server platform plays a fundamental role in the success of a workgroup, department, small- to medium- sized business or high performance computing (HPC). The Intel® Server Board S3420GP provides server-class performance without sacrificing cost-effectiveness or reliability.
