Novell PlateSpin Recon* provides intelligence, visual analysis and forecasting for optimizing the data center by collecting hardware, software and services inventory for all server workloads with no manual effort. PlateSpin Recon remotely gathers workload utilization statistics for a clear and concise picture of the server workloads running in the data center and how their resources are being used. PlateSpin Recon also provides powerful virtual infrastructure management features to help organizations monitor and manage the growth of virtual machines, avoid virtual infrastructure sprawl and automate IT chargeback for virtual resources. The Intel® Server System SR1640TH is a differentiated, high-density 1U system supporting four independent Intel® Xeon® processor 3400 series with four DIMMs per node for a total of four processors and sixteen DIMMS. The system is designed with optimized cable routing, optimized cooling, two energy efficient power supplies, and up to four 3.5” SATA HDDs. This performance optimized system is ideal as a hosting server, web server, or for small businesses with space and cost sensitive applications.
