VMware vSphere 5.0 for ESXi* 5.0 - Intel® Server Board S5520HC

VMware vSphere* 5 delivers nearly 200 new and enhanced capabilities, provides efficiency from existing investments, an efficient and automated cloud infrastructure, and improves operational agility. VMware vSphere 5 supports virtual machines (VMs) that are up to four times more powerful than previous versions - VMs can now be configured with up to 1 terabyte of memory and 32 virtual CPUs. With enhanced High Availability, these gains in VM scalability and performance enable customers to virtualize any business-critical applications with confidence. VMware vSphere 5 also introduces three key new flagship features – Auto-Deploy, Profile-Driven Storage and Storage DRS –delivering intelligent policy management to support an automated "set it and forget it" approach to managing datacenter resources, including server deployment and storage management.

Designed with maximum performance and expandability, the Intel® Server Board S5520HC is a pedestal-optimized, high-performance server board for small and medium business applications, and targets applications such as database, email, storage, and virtualization. Scalable management with integrated and optional features include Intel® Server Deployment Toolkit, Intel® Active System Console, and power management with Intel® Intelligent Power Node Manager. Specific S5520HC boards, with the integrated Intel® Trusted Platform Module (Intel® TPM), will support the latest in virtualization security via Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (Intel® TXT).
